1. Our Core Philosophy: 100% Local Processing

At Compressor, we believe your personal photos and videos are strictly your business. Unlike cloud-based alternatives, our application uses React Native Nitro modules to process all media locally on your device's hardware. We do not upload, transmit, or store your media files on any remote servers.

This is not a legal technicality — it's how the app is architecturally built. There is no server to send your files to.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your photos, videos, audio or document files
• Your name, physical address, or phone number
• Your exact GPS location or location history
• Your contacts or calendar data
• Your biometric data of any kind
• Your search history or browsing habits

3. Information We May Collect

To keep the app free and continuously improve performance, we use limited third-party services which may collect the following:

• Analytics Data: Crash reports and basic usage metrics (e.g., app open frequency, crash logs). This data is anonymous and aggregated.
• Advertising Data: We use Google AdMob to display ads. Ad providers may use a unique Advertising ID to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your Android device settings under Google → Ads.

4. Permissions Requested

The app requests the following device permissions to function correctly:

• Storage / Media Access: Required to read the media files you select for compression, and to write the compressed output back to your device gallery or downloads folder.
• Post Notifications: Required to display background processing notifications when compression runs while the app is minimized.

These permissions are only used for the stated purposes and are never used to collect data about you.

5. Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party SDKs whose privacy policies govern their own data handling:

• Google AdMob — Google Privacy Policy
• React Native Firebase (for crash analytics only)

6. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
