The most powerful offline compression engine for Android. Compress videos, images, audio and documents directly on your device — blazing fast, zero uploads, zero data leaks.
Built with React Native Nitro modules — native C++ performance wrapped in a beautiful mobile interface.
Powered by native C++ Nitro modules — not JavaScript. Compress a 1GB 4K video to under 100MB in seconds. This is desktop-level power, in your pocket.
Everything runs on your device's processor. No cloud, no server, no data collection. Your private media never leaves your hands — ever.
Perceptual encoding removes only what the human eye cannot see — dramatically reducing file size while maintaining stunning visual clarity.
Start a large compression job and minimize the app. Our background service continues processing and notifies you when it's done — no babysitting required.
Choose quick presets (High / Medium / Low) or dive into fine-tuned bitrate and resolution controls for professional-grade output.
No technical knowledge needed. Just pick, choose, compress.
Open the app and tap to upload from your gallery. Our built-in picker makes it easy to find your largest files instantly. Select one or batch-select hundreds.
Pick a quality preset (High / Medium / Low) or switch to pro mode to fine-tune exact bitrate, resolution, and codec settings for total control.
Hit compress and watch the magic happen live. Once finished, share directly, save to gallery, or delete the original. You saved the space — you own the result.
Whether you're a casual user or a professional content creator, Compressor has the controls you need.
Toggle hardware acceleration to leverage your device's GPU for even faster encoding speeds.
Enable auto-save so compressed files are automatically saved to your gallery as they complete.
Choose to keep or strip EXIF metadata — perfect for privacy-conscious sharing of photos.
Beautiful AMOLED dark mode or a clean light interface. Follows your system preference automatically.
Real reviews from real people who've reclaimed their device storage.
"I was constantly running out of space on my phone. This app compressed my entire video library from 40GB down to 8GB — and I literally can't tell the difference in quality. It's black magic."
"The fact that this runs completely offline is a game changer. I tried other apps that forced me to upload my private videos to their servers. Not this one. Fast, secure, and absolutely perfect."
"I compress 50+ property photos before emailing them to clients every single day. It saves me hours. The batch mode is insanely fast and the quality is always spot-on. Worth every penny."
"Best compressor I've used. The UI is clean, the dark mode is gorgeous, and it actually works as advertised. Went from 12GB of camera footage down to 2GB in one session."
"Finally an app that respects my privacy and still delivers amazing performance. No cloud, no logins, no nonsense. Just pure, fast compression. This is exactly what Android needs."
"The settings screen is incredibly well-designed. GPU acceleration makes everything fly. Compressed a 2GB drone video to 230MB and it looked identical on my TV. Absolutely recommend."
Not at all! Compressor uses advanced perceptual encoding that removes only the data the human eye cannot perceive. You'll retain up to 98% of visual fidelity. For most use cases, the compressed file is visually indistinguishable from the original.
Absolutely not. Compressor is a 100% offline application. All processing is done using your phone's own CPU/GPU through native modules. We have zero access to your files, and they never leave your device under any circumstances.
Video: MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI. Images: JPEG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC. Audio: MP3, AAC, M4A, WAV. Documents: PDF and more. We're constantly expanding format support with every update.
Yes — Compressor is free to download and use. The app is supported by ads. We use Google AdMob to show relevant ads, which helps us continue developing and improving the app for free.
When GPU acceleration is enabled in Settings, Compressor uses your device's hardware video encoder (such as H.264/HEVC hardware encoder) instead of software encoding. This is typically 3–5× faster and generates less heat, though output compatibility may vary by device.
Yes! Start a compression job and then switch to any other app — Compressor will continue running via a background service. When compression completes, you'll receive a system notification with the results. The app is designed to never slow down your device during background processing.
Yes! Compressor handles audio files including MP3, AAC, M4A, WAV, and OGG. You can reduce audio bitrate to significantly shrink file size while keeping the audio quality at a level that suits your needs — perfect for voice recordings, podcasts, and music files.
Yes, Compressor supports PDF and common document formats. Document compression works by optimizing embedded images and removing redundant data within the file structure. While the compression ratio for documents is lower than video or images, you can still achieve meaningful size reductions — especially for image-heavy PDFs.
EXIF data is metadata embedded in photo files — it includes information like the camera model, date/time, and crucially, the GPS coordinates where the photo was taken. If you're sharing photos publicly or with people you don't know, stripping EXIF data is a strong privacy practice. Enable the "Strip EXIF Data" option in Settings to remove it automatically during compression.
High Quality is best when you need to retain maximum visual fidelity — great for archiving or professional use. Medium Quality is the sweet spot for most everyday use: excellent visual quality with significant size reduction (typically 60–80% smaller). Low Quality gives the smallest file size and is ideal for sending via messaging apps or email where storage space is critical.
The app includes a History screen where you can review your past compression jobs. You can see the original vs. compressed file sizes, the percentage saved, and the date of compression. This makes it easy to track how much storage you've freed up over time.
Go to the Settings screen (tap the gear icon on the home screen), then scroll to the bottom and tap "Reset to Defaults". This restores all settings — quality preset, GPU toggle, auto-save, EXIF stripping, and theme preference — back to their original state without deleting any of your compressed files.
